Get ready for Mock Exams 2024: Mid-year Edition!

It’s been only a few months since the academic year began, but students everywhere are already preparing to dive into the last batch of topics before they head off for their June holidays.

Understandably, some students will want an opportunity to practise what they’ve learned in an actual test and gauge their level of understanding, so that they’ll know how they fare among their cohort and where to improve as they work their way towards the year-end exams.

If your child shares the same thoughts, you’re in luck; we’re bringing back the Mock Exams this year!

Introducing the Geniebook Mock Exams 2024: Mid-year Edition

The previous Mock Exams were organised just last year, serving as a checkpoint assessment for our students to practise answering questions in simulated exam conditions and identify areas of improvement.

Here are the details:

Eligibility

• The Mock Exams will only be available to existing Geniebook subscribers from P3 to P6 as a complimentary feature; no payment is needed.
• All eligible Geniebook subscribers will be auto-enrolled for the Mock Exams; no registration required.

Available subjects

• The Mock Exams will be available in the following subjects: English, Maths, Science, and Chinese.
• The full range of topics to be covered in the Mock Exams can be found below (click on the link for each respective academic level to view them).
  • Full list of topics for Primary 3
  • Full list of topics for Primary 4
  • Full list of topics for Primary 5
  • Full list of topics for Primary 6
• All eligible students will be able to attempt the Mock Exams at their own academic level, for their subscribed subjects.
  • For example, if a P4 student is subscribed to only Maths and Science subjects on Geniebook, they may only attempt the P4 Maths and Science mock exam papers. They will NOT be able to attempt any English and Chinese mock exam papers.

Exam period

• Students may attempt any mock exam paper of their choice during the exam period from 15th to 21st April 2024.
• The link to the Mock Exams will appear under the ‘Worksheets’ section on Geniebook about 1 week before the exam period.
• Students may decide to attempt a paper at any time during the Mock Exams period.
• The exam timer will only start when students enter the mock exam paper.

Post-exam

• All mock exam papers will be marked between 22nd to 24th April 2024.
• Mock Exams results and solutions will be released from 24th April 2024 @ 8 PM onwards.
• A report will be shared about your child’s performance when the results are out.
• To encourage further practice, a revision worksheet based on incorrectly-answered questions during the Mock Exams will be issued about two weeks later.

• In the event that a student is disconnected during a mock exam paper, the exam timer will pause until the student reconnects.

With just a month to go, it’s time for your child to prepare for the Mock Exams, as they would for an actual exam.

For parents, you’ll want to help your child to draw up their study plans, set aside some time every week for revision, and get them ready to tackle the Mock Exams.
