Monitor your child's learning with the Parent App update
The Parent App has been helping parents to stay connected with their children’s learning activities and performance on Geniebook, providing detailed reports that track worksheet attempts, results, and topical skill levels.
This week, we pushed a big upgrade to the Parent App, bringing even more enhancements while making it simple and easy for parents to play an active role in their child’s education at the same time.
Check out the improvements we’ve made below, and be sure to download the app today!
A new Parent App facelift
The Parent App’s list of tabs have been adjusted, based on useful feedback from parents about their usage preferences.
The app now contains the following tabs:
- Worksheets
- Classes
- Progress
- Referral*
- Account
*Note: The Referral tab is only available for subscribers based in Singapore.
Creating better worksheets, the easier way
Thanks to interface improvements in this update, you will now be able to better monitor your child’s question attempts, the status of their active and completed worksheets, and examine the attempted answers in greater detail. You will also be able to assign new effective worksheets more easily than ever before.
Here’s a quick overview of the new and improved worksheet features in this Parent App update.
Keep track of worksheet statuses
The Parent App grants insights about various aspects of your child’s worksheet assignments:
- [New] The number of worksheets expiring soon
- [New] The number of worksheets pending review
- [Updated] The number of active worksheets
- [Updated] The number of completed worksheets
With this, you can easily keep track of your child’s worksheets, whether active or completed, and decide when to create a new worksheet. The Parent App also notifies you when worksheets are marked and ready for your review. Get insights to worksheet performance
Besides keeping track of which worksheets your child has done or is supposed to complete, the Parent App allows you to look at their progress in each worksheet and their attempted answers, including which ones are correct or incorrect.
This feature has been improved with a better layout designed to deliver the information you need at a glance. With this, you’ll be able to learn about their overall answer accuracy and answering patterns, and be informed about when to create new worksheets to help your child learn on Geniebook. A more intuitive way to create worksheets
With this update, you’ll be presented with several AI-recommended worksheet options upfront, from Homework worksheets to practise what they learned in GenieClass lessons, to Revision worksheets to practise on mistakes made recently. With this function, simply assign worksheets at a tap of a button; leave the actual planning to us!
Besides automatically-recommended ones, you’ll also be able to manually create Starter or Customised worksheets made up of your preferred questions and topics.
Did you know that children are 30 times more likely to do their worksheets if parents assign them? With these improvements, we hope we have made the Parent App a more effective way for you to assign new worksheets.
Keeping track of class activities
As parents, we all know the truth: helping our children to maintain their enthusiasm about attending classes can be an uphill battle sometimes. What’s more, it can be easy to lose track of what they are up to when we’re busy with work and other things in life.
To help you with that, we’ve upgraded the Parent App with additional features that will help you stay in touch with your child’s activities in our online classes.
Monitor your child’s class activity seamlessly
In the Parent App, you’ll be able to view a schedule of classes that your child can join, and set reminders to notify them about specific upcoming classes so that they’ll know to attend.
Aside from that, you’ll also get notifications when they enter the class, as well as real-time information about their attendance. All within reach of your fingertips.
Review and recap past attended lessons
After the end of each class attended by your child, the Parent App will be updated with various relevant information, including:
- A history of live and recorded lessons attended
- Bubble question attempts for each class, along with answering accuracy
- Viewing duration of each lesson (both live and recorded)
- Full video recording of the attended class
With this, you’ll be able to review the study materials given to your child after each lesson, their attendance records for each class, and their grasp of the concepts learned. The app’s interface helps to bring the information together into one comprehensive design, allowing busy parents to stay up to date.
Motivate with Bubbles
Geniebook’s learning rewards system is a great way to motivate your child to keep studying with longer periods of focus. The new version of the Parent App grants this power to you via the ability to manually award Bubbles straight from your own Bubble wallet, which is accessible in the Account page. You’ll also be able to view your Bubble wallet’s debit and credit history on the app.
