Guess The Lyrics

In today’s lesson, we will be learning how to figure out the lyrics of songs. Usually, a song is trying to tell you something: it could be a story or message. At the same time, there is an element of rhyme and rhythm. The questions will be based on some popular songs and we will look at the vocabulary used.

English Concept - Part 1

Hint 1: Even if you don’t know the song, look at what might rhyme or fit.

Question 1:

Hint 3: Look for alternative rhymes.

English Concept - Part 2

Here are some older songs. Remember to use the rhymes and other lines to figure out what goes in the blanks.

1. Sometimes it helps to try out all the options.
2. Read them out loud, and the correct answer might become obvious.
3. If it sounds weird, it’s probably wrong.

Not only this, there is also an alternate rhyme between the 2^nd and the last line. The correct answer to this question is option (1) - carries on.
